New Year's Eve

Brooke didn't quite make it, she was sleeping by 8:30 pm!  But, we did tell her it was almost a new year.  She wishes everyone a NEW YEAR...happy 2011!!!  I am sure she is hoping for a brother or sister...we will see what God has in store for us.

Great Lakes Crossing- Carousel and play area

Build a Bear

Today we went to Somerset Mall to use a gift card.  Brooke picked out Clarice, so now she has Rudolph and Clarice...how cute!

Gift Exchange with Grants

Pam and I always like to get together over the holiday break so the kids can exchange gifts.  We had a good time visitng with them.  The kids loved their new gifts! Brooke got Tag Junior with a couple of books.  We just downloaded the stories...it really is neat.  She can follow along with the story by using the Tag.  Thank you Aunt Pam and Uncle Rob for loving Brooke so much.  She loves you and the girls, too!

Visiting with Jake and Carsen

My friend Nicole and her husband, Hadir and kids, Jake and Carsen were in from Illinois.  It was nice to see them.  We met at McDonald's first and then went back to her parent's house.  Then, we got to see Carsen, too!  Carsen is growing so much, we hadn't seen her in a long time.  We sure miss them!

Movies with cousins

My parents (Brooke's Papa and Tutu) took us to the movies to see Yogi Bear.  Brooke ate some popcorn and then fell asleep in my arms for most of the movie.  It was an ok movie, not as good as I thought it was going to be.  Thanks mom and dad for the movies and dinner afterwards!

Kiddie Klub with Ben

On Wednesday we met my friend Karen at Kiddie Klub (yes, second time here in 3 days) and Brooke played with her son, Ben.  They had a blast!  Brooke dressed up as a green dinosaur and a horse this time! ben wasn't interested in dressing up.  He liked the soft building blocks and mats.  And, he read lots of books and played in the kitchen.  Fun times!

Toys R Us and mall play area

My friend Lori came in from Grand Rapids.  We went to Toys R Us for Brooke to get her birthday crown and pick out a toy to use her birthday coupon. Then we went to Lakeside mall and let Brooke play at the play area.  She had fun!

Later after the mall, we went to Lori's house to exchange gifts.  It is also tradition to pick a chocolate off the tree. YUMMY!  Brooke sure was enjoying her chocolate candy ornament!!   Thank you Lori for the pretty ornaments and Brooke loves her "color changing" cup you got her.  She is also enjoying all the food she now has to play store and restaurant!

At the end of the evening we took Lori to the library where her mom works and we stayed to visit.  Lori read books to Brooke and then they played with the animal puppets.  What a cute little library.

Visiting Elise

On Monday evening we went to Ursula's house for a playdate with Elise.  The girls did ok, they both have their mind set on what they want to do and don't always want to go along with each other. Plus, there is a 2 year difference between them. Both December birthday girls... Elise is 5 and Brooke is 3. Elise did a puppet show and Brooke enjoyed Elise's Barbies.  Then, we went upstairs and played Toy Story guys...they then started playing well and it was time to go home!!! Oh well, we will have lots of other playdates and we are hoping the girls will grow to play nicely and become good friends.  The girls enjoyed hot chocolate with marshmallows!
Everywhere we go she brings her "Toy Story Guys!!!"

Christy's house

I went and got my haircut at my friend's house and she always has fun decorations for Christmas.  Brooke loves seeing the nativity each year.
